SkillsUSA is a national workforce development organization that helps students build the skills they need for success in school, work and life. It empowers students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders and responsible community members through leadership development, teamwork, service, and real-world learning connected to career and technical education.

SkillsUSA Tennessee Postsecondary brings those opportunities to students across the state through local chapters, statewide events and hands-on experiences. Students can grow as leaders, take part in competitions, attend conferences, serve their communities and strengthen the personal and workplace skills employers value. For TCAT students, SkillsUSA can be a strong way to build confidence, connect classroom learning to career goals and prepare for success after graduation.

National Technical Honor Society

National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) is the honor society for Career and Technical Education (CTE). As a national nonprofit student organization, NTHS has recognized outstanding student achievement in CTE since 1984. Having served over 1.2 million members in secondary and postsecondary chapters across the country and beyond, NTHS continues to support the next generation of skilled workers and leaders through chapter activities centered on its Core Four Objectives: career development, leadership development, service and recognition.
