April 7, 2017 marked the date of the first annual National Technical Honor Society induction ceremony at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology – McMinnville.

The purpose of the National Technical Honor Society is to recognize and honor excellence in career and technical education. To encourage students to reach for higher levels of achievement, develop self-esteem and pride. To champion a stronger, more positive image for career and technical education.

During the ceremony each of the students lit candles representing the following attributes within themselves:

            Light of Knowledge

            Skill

            Honesty

            Service

            Responsibility

            Scholarship

            Citizenship

            Leadership

Afterwards refreshments were served.

The students inducted today were:

     Joseph Wallace Cole, Computer Information Technology

     Renea Nichole Fults, Practical Nursing

     Gary Dewayne Hobbs, Industrial Maintenance

     Carl Anthony Mooneyham, Jr., Industrial Maintenance

     Peyton McKenzie Wanamaker, Practical Nursing
